The age you can claim
You can claim the basic old-age pension once you turn 65, provided your paid and exempted insurance periods add up to at least 10 years between them.
Claimable from 65 years
Under art. 26, you can claim the basic old-age pension once you turn 65 years. To qualify, your paid insurance periods and your exempted insurance periods must add up to at least 10 years between them — the two are combined, not counted separately.
No route on insurance period alone
No provision allowing a pension on insurance service alone, regardless of age, was found within art. 26 and the 附則 art. 9-2 advance-claim route.
Claiming earlier or later
If you would rather not wait until 65 years, you can claim early from 60 years, or defer up to age 75. The conditions and the resulting change in amount are covered on the claiming early or deferring page.
